Hiii! I'm Lukrecja (she/her), a girl who fell in love with computers way too early in her life and rarely touched the grass since then. My goal in life is to explore everything that's cool, interesting and nonusual, including but not limited to code.

I'm a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science with specialization in programming! My diploma project was an implementation of a secure E2E encrypted P2P messaging program, written in Rust. I think it was secure. Who knows.

I'm really into embedded and low-level programming, declarative infrastructure, and making interesting, hopefully non-trivial stuff. I can say with high confidence I'm the only one at my workplace who's this obsessed with code quality and optimizations. I strive to write code free of memory leaks that runs without wasting any unnecessary resources, and I've successfully delivered several complex projects that run really well on resource-constrained devices, such as MIPS-based or ARM-based routers/SBCs. For example, my LiDAR vehicle scanner handles the sensor connection, database saving, real-time vehicle detection, mathematical autocalibration, pose refinement and model analysis AND a full egui-based web UI, all under 2% CPU/9 MiB of memory :3

Additionally I enjoy nostalgic tech and software, I love raving, hardcore music and exploring the depths of my own stoopid empty mind.

What I'm doing rn

You'd probably catch me:

• Being eepy with cute wife
• Working (mostly) from home:
  • currently working on ANPR cameras, traffic sensors and a COOL LiDAR sensor for 3D vehicle scanning!
  • deploying software to OpenWRT routers
  • working with cross-compilers and CI build pipelines
  • forcing Rust and Nix at work
• Constantly learning Rust, including embedded programming with embassy-rs and writing network-related software
• Tinkering with NixOS and making my config the best in existence (help I don't understand nix language that well)
• Trying to get into PCB design and RF stuffs

Interests

Outside of puters, I like:

• Music - I love a large variety of music, including some niche experimental tracks, hardcore, uptempo, Polish rap (wtf why), or to summarize, anything that makes me think omgomgomg that's so cool. Take a look at my sc likes!
• Art - I appreciate everything that's just pretty, or beautifully ugly, unusual or mundane, everything can be art to me
• Late 00s/early 10s - I grew up in XP/Vista times and I so so so so sooooo wish to come back to these times. Just for a little while :<...
• Privacy and foss - god I LOVE everything related to the open-source community and I'm actively de-microslopping and de-googling my life. My biggest dream is an usable Linux-based phone with no stupid restrictions at all, but with comparable camera quality to my iphone... Well, a girl can dream. Also: fuck gigacorporations, fuck modern slavery, fuck the job market and fuck oppresive governments. ACAB :3
• Astronomy and astrophotography - I used to have a cool astrophoto setup but had to sell it. But I'm thinking of slowly getting back into this beautiful and amazing hobby. Nothing beats freezing your ass off in the middle of the night just to take a photo of something thousands or millions of light years away
• Dogs - ofc
